For those of you looking to start teaching some family yoga classes, or even find a teacher to do a class in your neck of the woods, here are some ideas:
1. Pick an organization and do the family yoga classes at a farmer's market, yoga studio or school and do the class by donation! I've been giving to organizations like Africa Yoga Project and CitySeed. I've also done a fundraiser for Zephyr's school. This weekend I'm doing one with another school where I teach. It's such a great way to raise money!
2. Mother's Day Yoga Classes. At one of my favorite schools where I teach - Alphabet Academy, I do a mother's day yoga class for all the moms and their kids. It's so awesome and it's a chance to finally meet the parents of the kids I teach. I spend so much time with them and never get to meet the families. I look forward to it every year.

4. Offer Family Yoga during the evening at a school. I am really lucky in that one of the public schools near me has a family resource center that offers these classes for free for the families that go to the school. We've been doing it for a few years now and it's a way for families to spend some much needed time together and to try yoga together as a family. It's been so great and I just love that there is a school that can offer something so cool like this.

Family yoga is a way to connect, spend time, and have fun with your family. We are all so busy all the time. See if you can find a family yoga class near you, or if you teach yoga, consider offering it to your community!
Do you do family yoga? do you have activities you like to do as a family? I'd love to hear more ideas about teaching families! Please share!
