Sharing the LOVE - Through Peace, Joy & Kid's Yoga Teacher Trainings~

Back in 2006 while I was still living in San Francisco, I had many people ask me if I could train them to teach yoga to kids. Surprisingly, there was not too many of us doing this work yet. So my friend Rosey and I decided to create our own 8 hour Kids Yoga Teacher Training. Fast forward to 2015, my Full of Joy Yoga Kids Yoga teacher training is now 20 hours with the hopes to increase it to 25 hours in the near future. It has been one of the biggest joys of my biz. I have trained hundreds of people from CA to CT - think of all the kiddos who get to benefit from all of these kids yoga teachers? It's mind boggling actually.

I really do this work because I have high hopes for the future generation. If all of us can incorporate just a little bit of what kid's yoga has to offer to our children, then think about what a difference it can make for the future of our beautiful mother earth. These kids are learning to love themselves & the world around them, learn tools for calming & focus, they are building strength & flexibility and the list goes on.

I listen to NPR daily, and hear the horrors of war, poverty, drugs, homelessness, abuse, etc. I must cry at least once or twice a day listening to what is going on in our world. Then I get to a school and teach these innocent, wide eyed, beautiful kids what it is to be kind, joyful, peaceful, happy, relaxed, mindful, calm, excited, strong, powerful people and know there truly is hope for our future generations.

So when I spend those 20 hours during my Teacher Training, I leave these graduates with the knowledge to bring the same to all the kiddos in their lives. And it's a pretty awesome job! I can't even believe this is what I get to do every day. When I get emails from FOJY graduates thanking me for changing the course of their life, it validates why I do this work.

If you have already taken a kids yoga training, how has it impacted your life? What can you share about why you do this work?

If you are curious about my kids yoga teacher training, you can read about it on my website here. Come join the fun!
